HSEQ policy

Laugstol’s HSEQ policy describes how we work systematically with health, safety, environment and quality. Our goal is safe working conditions, high quality and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

Laugstol’s HSEQ policy describes our goals, priorities and action plans for 2026. The policy remains stable over time, while goals and measures are reviewed annually based on evaluations, audits and lessons learned from the previous year. The document is approved by the Board of Laugstol AS before being implemented in the company’s management system.

At Laugstol, we see HSE and quality as closely connected. Both areas require clear goals, concrete measures and systematic work to observe, learn and improve. Our aim is to ensure safe working conditions, high quality and continuous development.

The 2026 plan largely builds on measures from 2024. Several measures take time to achieve the desired effect, especially those related to culture, attitudes and working methods. We are therefore continuing several important initiatives in 2026.

Prioritised areas in 2026

Culture, communication and well-being

We will continue to develop a company culture that supports Laugstol’s goals and strategy. Good internal communication is essential to succeed. We will therefore work to improve information flow, clarify expectations and strengthen initiatives that contribute to well-being and job satisfaction.

It should be safe, positive and motivating to work at Laugstol.

Resource planning and project execution

We will improve planning, structure and project execution. Too many projects have required rapid reallocations and “firefighting”, which affects safety, efficiency and financial performance.

In 2026, we will introduce clearer routines for weekly meetings, resource planning and follow-up. This will provide better overview, strengthen team spirit and ensure that both project managers and crews have the information they need about project status.

The new ERP system will be an important tool in improving project management, financial follow-up, reporting and allocation of internal resources.

Good attitudes and compliance

We will highlight employees who demonstrate good attitudes, particularly within HSE, quality and compliance with established working methods. These employees will act as role models and help promote best practice for both fitters and project managers.

The Project Manager Forums will be an important arena for sharing experience, highlighting good examples and strengthening learning across the organisation.

HSE first – always

Laugstol operates in an industry where HSE must be part of everything we do. Our work involves risk, and the most important goal is that all employees return home safely at the end of the working day.

We will operate efficiently and profitably, but never at the expense of safety, quality or the requirements of clients and project owners. Good HSE is a prerequisite for good operations, successful projects and long-term trust.
